Accomplishments
-La Zarzuela, Inc. (LZ) has brought zarzuela performances to traditional and non-traditional Miami-Dade venues, reaching over 5,000 audience members.
-Three major fully staged zarzuela productions to date: Luisa Fernanda, La Dolorosa, and Alma Llanera.
-Innovations: Revised texts with modern audiences in mind, new musical arrangements, new original music composed, modern productions.
-Free performances at the Miami-Dade Public Library, the Manuel Artime Community Center, and senior residences.
-Enthusiastic audience and media reaction.
-La Zarzuela, Inc. has provided meaningful performance opportunities to over 80 local artists.
